I didn't get a chance yesterday to comment on the performances, but I really felt that there were at least 6 people who had real shots at making it. And was right, again, on two of my three top picks, Allison, who is an amazing talent for a 16 year old - though her Alone didn't come up to Carrie's version, for me, it was within her range, which is quite different from Carrie's, and Adam, who does have an amazing range, sang a song I have always hated, I'm not a Mick Jagger fan in any way, but I found myself enjoying Adam's version. He is already packaged, prepared and ready to step into a musical career, regardless how far he goes in this completion. I missed on Megan, because I just loved her performance, and am betting right now that she'll be a wild card. She has a unique sound, a unique personal touch that she brings, and a wonderful voice, in my opinion. But I liked Jesse's performance, Kai's too. It was a much more competitive week than the first group of 12, I thought. I am really looking forward to wild card week to see who comes back, I still have high hopes we'll see Megan in the final 12. Interesting season so far. I'm reserving opinion on the wild card week idea until I see how it works out. I didn't start watching until Carrie's season so haven't seen any thing like that and Ryan hasn't said exactly how many will be on it and I can't find that information on this site anywhere either. So, with all that, I'm interested more this year than in the past couple. Which I think bodes well for the show. You don't stay on top by staying the same and so far I like the changes they've made, mostly. Having fun watching for sure.
